One Community Through The Arts mission statement embraces the performing and graphic/visual arts by presenting quality family entertainment and educational opportunities for all ages. As a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of our children we provide a much needed artistic benchmark. Founded in 1998 established programs included teaching, performing, and hosting visual/graphic arts and theater events.

Our program is dedicated to young people for enhanced arts study. Partnered with The Association of Student Artists, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools, Dickinson County 4H, and the Michigan Council of the Arts & Cultural Affairs and National Endowment for the Arts this program serves the Tri-County Area.

WHY THE ARTS ARE IMPORTANT:

1. Develops personality and self-esteem
2. Teaches self-discipline
3. Evaluates and encourages creativity
4. Takes individual responses and relates them to group unity

The above "Tools" are a key part to all the Arts. As a child incorporates these tools into the sum total of their personality they bring to Society a polished and well rounded development capable of leadership and creative input.

The Tri-County Area includes some of the most economically depressed communities in the State of Michigan and Wisconsin. Without your contributions and support our cash assets evaporate . . . and so does future program efforts. Please help with out ongoing fund raising. We are currently trying to raise $10,000 for our One Community Through The Arts Endowment, managed by Dickinson Area Community Foundation.

This Endowment will provide scholarships, help defray production expenses, and become a financial backbone for the under-privileged and economically challenged in the Tri-County Area. Your support is tax deductible . . . Invest in the future. Become someone who cares . . . cares about the creative future of our young people.
